The Spokane and surrounding area has some amazing place to take high school senior photos.  I really enjoy photographing in the back alley ways of downtown Spokane or surrounding natural areas.  I think senior photos should be unique for each person.  I love to say “show me your talent”.  Weather it’s a martial artist doing back flips or a skate boarder on the half pipe, I want to photograph you doing something you love.  The point of senior photos is to create a visual record of you while incorporating you doings something that you love doing.  I offer all my high school seniors the option of shooting in the studio and out on location.  By doing so we get a wide variety of of different looks to ensure you have the selection you are looking for.

FAQ
Below is a list of frequently asked questions and detailed information on what to expect when you book a senior portrait session.

So, how does this work?

What’s the consultation all about?
Phone consultations are the best and most efficient way to get to know each other and hash out the details of your shoot. During the consultation we will discuss clothing, hair / makeup, location options, designate a specific meeting location, and answer any questions you might have. If it’s important to you or your parents to meet us in person, we’ll gladly arrange for an in-person consultation at one of our favorite local coffee houses.

What should I wear/bring?
Your portrait sessions are all about you, so bring 3-4 different outfits that show off your personality and style. Solid colors and longer sleeves will help emphasize the face and are less distracting in photos. It’s also important that you are comfortable in your clothes. If you are not comfortable, it will show in your pictures. Girls – feel free to wear heels, but make sure you also bring a pair of comfortable walking shoes. Also bring any pets / props / instruments that are important to you.

Do you offer hair and makeup?
We do not offer hair or makeup, but we recommend clean makeup application with added emphasis on lips and eyelashes.

What can I expect during the photo session?
On the day of your session, we will meet you at a designated location which will be discussed during the consultation. If necessary, we can help you decide which outfits work best with the surroundings.

Generally, a portrait session will last 2+ hours. I shoot in a deliberate, fast-paced but very relaxed style. We want to make sure you are always comfortable and looking your best. My sessions are highly interactive and a lot of fun. Great photos do require a bit of work but you’ll have such a blast you won’t know where the time went!

Should I bring my mom dad or a friend to my session?
Yes, we strongly recommend you bring someone with you. A parent or friend is always a valuable assistant during the shoot and can help with clothes, hair, props, etc.

Can I bring a friend to my session?
Definitely. In fact we have special deals if your friend wants pictures too! Ask us for details. Friends can often bring out the best smiles.

Do you offer group / friends sessions?
Yes! Group / friends sessions can be a lot of fun and provide you with invaluable memories. These are separate from personal portrait sessions. Please contact us for details.

Will you reschedule for bad weather?
Of course!

Do you offer in-studio portraits?
Absolutely! We love to shoot outdoors, but can offer in-studio sessions.

Proofing & ordering. How does it work?
After your photo shoot, the photos will be posted online to a password protected website for viewing and ordering approximately two weeks later. You can then email us which poses you want for your prints, enlargements and / or composite. Additional prints can be ordered directly online. Once you have made your selection, please allow an additional week for the photos to be shipped directly to you.

Can I use the photos on Facebook or Myspace?
Yes, when you purchase a digital negative.

Can I make my own reprints?
You may make your own reprints if you purchase the digital negatives; otherwise reproduction of any image is a violation of Federal Copyright Law. Reprints are always available.

Do you offer retouching?
Yes. Minor retouching is included with every photo ordered, including the photos you select for your package.

How do I get started?
It’s easy! Just pick a desired date for your session and send us a message through our contact form.
